San Diego - Why Settle For A Zoo? Go On A SAFARI!

EVERYBODY has heard of "The World Famous San Diego Zoo," but how about the San Diego Zoo's Safari Park??? Formerly known as the Wild Animal Park, the Safari Park lets visitors see wild animals live freely in a much more open space than you normally see in most zoos. The park has most of the same animals as you would see in a zoo - lions, tigers, but currently no bears.

Safari Park's main attraction is the Africa Tram tour that brings visitors to the field exhibits to see wildlife from different parts of Africa. For an additional fee, you can choose from a variety of "safaris" that give you a closer look at the animals while you ride electric bikes or large golf carts. The Caravan Safari even gives you the opportunity to feed a giraffe.
