Folsom is almost a 30 minute drive outside of Sacramento. According to TripAdvisor, the Folsom Prison Museum is one of the highest rated attractions there. For only a $2 entry fee, you'll experience the prison's history dating back to the 1880's. Visitors are especially intrigued by the many tools created by prisoners who tried to escape.
