Flying to your destination is the usual way of travel, but times have made that a risky endeavor and where is the road trip family experience in that? That is why Airport Van Rental is dedicated to helping plan a safe summer vacation road trip, with fun stops along the way. The journey should be just as fun as the destination, and the suggested road trip below is AVR’s way of delivering on that.

Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas: Soak in the waters of nature
4 hours 28 minutes, 246 miles if coming from Tulsa, our previous suggested stop
Hot Springs National Park is a place of beauty and history with its rich past. Known as an icon for healing during the twentieth-century, this natural wonder and various attractions will leave you breathless. The best place to start your journey here is the Fordyce Bathhouse and visitor center. This will not only help plan your stay, but give you a glimpse into the past, as it operated as a bath house starting from 1915. For those in the crew or family that love the outdoors, there are plenty of hiking trails, picnic areas, photography opportunities, scenic drives, and ways to experience the spring water directly from the source. Unfortunately you can’t soak directly in the outdoors spring water, but you are allowed to touch and even drink it. That is right, the water is 100% drinkable and tastes amazing. It has been protected as a drinkable source since 1832 and visitors can even bottle it to take it home. There are plenty of indoor opportunities to soak in the water that is piped into bath houses directly from the springs. Whether you are the one in the family or crew that loves to brave the outdoors, or the laid back one that just wants to relax inside, Hot Springs National Park has you covered. If you would like to follow this journey with all the stops, you can find the full directions here. Do vacation the right way with AVR.
