The International UFO Museum and Research Center has activities for the whole family that are sure to get you believing in the phenomenon. This is a must see while traveling through New Mexico. Who knows, maybe if you stay the night, you will even see your very own UFO. If you get abducted though, please make sure the aliens do not take our comfy and easy to rent AVR van! We can't have them knowing our secrets to comfort and success. All joking aside, if it was a joke because this could all be a ploy by the aliens, you have to check out this museum. Take walks along scenic trails, set up an impromptu picnic that's perfect for social distancing, fish on the lake for your dinner or sport, or just lay down and let the sweet scent of nature take your stress away. This is the perfect over half-way spot to really relax from all the traveling or even a previous adventure.  Plus, Vegas is a big city with all the traits of one and more, so take this time to go off the grid a bit with some relaxing nature time. This stop will have the whole family well rested and relaxed for the last part of the journey to Vegas.

 There is no reason to rush towards Vegas now that you are in the home stretch, especially when the Hoover Dam is right on the way. I know, you are almost there and the safety and comfort of the AVR van is just too hard to leave until you get to Vegas, but this stop is totally worth it. Traffic is usually backed up or congested depending upon the day of the week and time, so take the opportunity to dodge it by going for a day trip to the Hoover Dam. Vegas comes alive at night and never sleeps, so do not feel rushed at all. Located right as you enter the state lines of Nevada, this is a must-see site that boasts one of the most breath-taking views of the Colorado river. Take the time to stretch your legs, have a bite to eat, and enjoy the view. This pit-stop will not only beat the traffic, it will get the whole family or crew fired up for the last bit of driving to Vegas. Viva Las Vegas!
