Set for March 14th through the 21st, the San Diego Festival Of Science & Engineering consists of demonstrations and interactive exhibits that will "ignite" the love for science in kids in grades K-12, as well as adults. More than 60,000 kids, parents, scientists, educators and community members participated in the festival's 35 events countywide last year, and officials expect the same number. Festival week ends with EXPO Day, where more than 130 organizations will provide interactive, hands-on science, technology, engineering and math exhibits and activities to K-12 science lovers. EXPO Day, set from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Petco Park, is free and open to the public. Other exhibit venues include the Birch Aquarium, San Diego Miramar College and the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center.
