Found within the Rocky Mountains just northwest of Denver, Steamboat Springs is a quaint town with tons of activities for the whole family. Steamboat Springs is a renowned destination for skiing and other snow activities during the winter, but there is so much to do here, you could spend all spring, summer and fall experiencing all it has to offer. Steamboat Ski Resort at Mount Werner is considered Colorado’s top family-friendly ski resort and vacation destination. Another popular skiing destination that is a bit more relaxed and secluded, is the Howelsen Hill Ski Area which is one of North America’s oldest operating ski area.

If skiing isn’t your family’s thing, there is plenty to do in Steamboat Springs, including shopping, dining and hiking. Gondola Square and the downtown Steamboat are the two main places to find all the shopping and dining options. Every commercial lodging has a free bus system as well to those areas, so make sure you take advantage of that.
